Have you got everything in place to get in the game? Inexpensively protect your ideas if you have not done so already and then get them circulated among interested buyers who want to sell it on their shelves. Remember, it is more important to be “1st to Market” rather than “1st to Patent.”
Now, let's evaluate the concept. To submit a concept for review, return an Idea Submission Form by fax or email (must print forms to pdf). All information is available for download in the toolbox below. Provide some description of the idea on one page about the key application potential and 3 points about the main benefits. Send anything that conveys the concept including drawings, samples, photographs, videos, disks, or other materials. Also write down any thoughts about potential customers and target markets.

Provisional Patent Overview
The provisional patent is the best tool for defending product developers from malice, as it protects the applicant for up to one year upon being filed. During this time period the idea can be circulated to interested buyers and potential licensees. All of our clients can obtain a Provisional Patent Application (PPA) for $130.00 USD, which can be filed and paid online at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. See Resource URL Cache below.
Open Innovation
The central idea behind open innovation is that in a world of widely distributed knowledge, companies cannot afford to rely entirely on their own research, but should instead buy or license processes or inventions from other sources. To learn more click: Open Innovation Backgrounder .
